Morning everyone. Markets still quite volatile. The stock market staged an amazing U-turn yesterday evening. It looked as though the S&P after breaking 1537 was looking good for a fall. However, as is symptomatic of all markets at the moment, after making 1527 it rose about 13 points in a couple of hours to reclaim 1537 ending the day at 1541.

Today's economics: GBP retail sales at 9:30am, Bank of Canada Monetary Policy Report at 3pm, US Philly fed manufacturing index at 5pm. Oh and Bernanke and Trichet are speaking at 10pm tonight.
